Description:

One of TEKsystems’ most reputable Financial Services clients is in need of a Risk Business Analyst consultant to fulfill a 6-month contract in downtown Toronto. The successful candidate will be supporting a FIS Risk Suite upgrade within the Bank’s Market Risk - Counterparty Credit Risk department. This individual will need to have an excellent track record of working directly with business users and technology teams.

This person will be mapping out a component within the FIS Risk Suite - i.e., the current state/process - and then mapping out a future state in a new platform, while identifying process improvements.

Additionally, this person will aid in streamlining a new cloud-based risk platform which provides and normalizes trade transaction data collected from the bank’s booking systems downstream.

Top Skills:

1) Counterparty Credit Risk experience - 3-5+ years minimum

2) Knowledge of Capital Markets trading products (e.g., interest rate swaps, credit derivatives, futures, etc.)

3) Strong Data Experience as a BA/BSA - i.e., data mapping, mapping out current state/future state, identifying process improvements

4) Requirements gathering/creating diagrams (Using Gliffy or Confluence)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Broad understanding of risk management methodologies

• Experience in using work tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, HPQC) would be an advantage

• Experience in an Agile and fast-paced environment

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented attitude

• Self-motivated and takes ownership

• Good self-organization skills including planning, scheduling, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively within a team, and work with multiple stakeholders

• Curious, dynamic, focused, proactive, detail-oriented

Educational Requirements/Professional Certifications:

• Advanced university degree, preferably in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Science, or Engineering

• CFA, FRM, PRM designation or working towards one of those or similar ones would be an asset

Skills:

• Business, analyst, BA, Sungard, derivative, front, office, counterparty credit risk, risk.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• The suitable candidate will be required to interact with both technology teams and business teams - good communication is a must
