Overview
As a Senior Account Manager (PR) , you will be working as part of an account team in a fast-paced agency environment to develop and delivers strategic, creative client programs. Your job is to tell the client’s story and relentlessly pursue the best ROI, with a focus on executing programs and developing client relationships. An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders, in addition to integrated agency partners.
We’re looking for a passionate team player with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities. A strategic, analytical thinker who can create cross-channel PR strategies for our clients.
Responsibilities
Working as part of account teams on fast-paced retail, food and beverage clients, developing and supporting corporate and consumer PR communication deliverables to meet client objectives, including designing impactful media relations strategies and integrated agency campaigns, managing corporate and thought leadership initiatives and crisis/issues situations.
Drafting and editing media materials including editorial pieces, media advisories, press releases, fact sheets and briefing books. Strong writing skills are required.
Written and verbal outreach with media contacts; strong relationships with retail, business and lifestyle media are required
Strategic thinking capabilities to support the development of innovative campaigns; a creative thinker
Ability to craft and sell in strategic communications strategies with clients
Oversee fully integrated communications including integrated PR and influencer campaigns for large consumer brands
Demonstrate an understanding of how social/digital and online community engagement integrates into a complete communications program
Strong client management and leadership skills; ability to manage up and down
Client experience in CPG, Retail, Consumer/Lifestyle is considered an asset
Ability to work and manage integrated programs with other agency partners in large integrated agency team (IAT) settings, representing North and collaborating effectively
Providing timely feedback to management on progress against goals
Establishing and managing project budgets, vendors and team time against forecasts
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Ongoing tracking and knowledge of industry & brand best practices
Contributing to the North inclusive culture as a coach and mentor to team members
Qualifications
Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related discipline
6-8 years’ experience in an agency environment with a focus on corporate and consumer PR strategies
Experience coaching and leading junior account and project teams
Integrated influencer campaign strategy experience is ideal
Strong media relationships across business, retail and consumer lifestyle
Experience with PR-led events and experiential opportunities to drive impact
Crisis/issues communications experience is an asset
Strong understanding of influencer strategy and platforms
Experience in Grocery,Wellness,Food/Beverage and/or Retail communications is an asset
Excellent communication skills, dynamic, team player, excellent time management and organizational skills and is detail-oriented
An understanding of integrated earned and social media campaign needs related to platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, etc. is an asset
