Reporting to the Director, Centre of Excellence, the Senior Manager is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the Canadian Wealth Management department supporting the strategy and initiatives for Scotiabank being the bank of choice for newcomers to Canada.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Create a 3-year strategic roadmap and continually refresh strategy and roadmap as the industry evolves.

• Create proposals for strategic initiatives that differentiate Scotiabank in the marketplace.

• Identify and evaluate new opportunities and projects in the Canadian Wealth Management businesses.

• Create and maintain a library for tools and resources to help Canadian Wealth Management achieve its objectives. (such as: cultural fact sheets, calendar, cultural research for client journey etc.)

• Create and maintain a full list of projects, track status and ensure business deadlines are met.

• Proactively work with partners to ensure that initiatives deliver targeted benefits and are aligned with strategy.

• Bring forward ideas, research and inputs from internal and external resources to develop optimal plan in helping achieve strategic objectives of CWM.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

• 5-7 years relevant project management, strategy, consulting, business roles in banking or client focused industries

• Experience in banking industry is an asset

• Master’s Degree is considered an asset

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent relationship development and management skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously

• Results oriented

• Advanced PowerPoint
