Honeywell Lead Electrical Engineer in Torrance, California

As a Lead Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading and managing electrical engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. The lead engineer will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components

  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements

  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources

  • Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion

  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team members

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution

  • Execute electrical circuit design team project tasks

  • Complete assignments by applying electrical engineering methods

  • Generate Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) for Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs)

  • Leverage knowledge of circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems/failures uncovered by circuit card tests

  • Prepare investigation and test results to document findings

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or equivalent

  • Typically 10+ years working with circuit design integration and test experience

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The annual base salary range for this position is <$140 - $174.5>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

WE VALUE

  • Experience with MentorGraphix DxDesigner or equivalent circuit design tool set

  • Analog circuit design experience and standard lab equipment (meters, probes, etc.)

  • High-power power electronics design for inverters

  • Ability to produce white papers to document investigation findings, test results, and outcomes of trade studies

  • Knowledge of obsolescence parts replacement, identification of substitute parts, and making board level drawing changes

  • Experience with circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis at a level required for fault isolation and hands-on troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with aircraft/aerospace test standards, such as DO-178B, DO-160, or DO-254
