UCLA Health Nurse Practitioner - OBGYN, Torrance in Torrance, California

Description

The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate 'Standardized Procedures' (SP). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). Provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support, as well as make appropriate referrals. Document services rendered.

Salary range: $84.82- $121.13/hourly

Qualifications

CA RN and CA NP License- required

MSN/DNP with Obstetrics and Gynecology WHNP or FNP Specialty- required

BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross -required

National Certification in NP Specialty- required

A minimum of 2 years of OBGYN experience in an RN or NP role - required

Previous NP experience - required

State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- required

Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner - required

Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence - required

Ability to utilize Excel, word, and other software programs - required

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel -required

Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions - required

Ability to set priorities - required

NPII: 6+ months experience as an NP
