DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating a comprehensive consumer nutrition care program. This encompasses conducting nutrition assessments, facilitating discharge planning, providing diet counseling, documenting chart entries, participating in treatment team discussions, and implementing nutrition education initiatives. Additionally, you will design and document modified diet plans while overseeing the consumers' overall acceptance of the menu options. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Food Service Manager to fill client nutritional needs concerning flavor, texture, and general acceptability of therapeutic menus. In addition to planning the nutritional care of residents, you will be offering educational materials to staff, consumers' families, and community members!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
Certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
