The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to the Sr. Operations Analyst, which includes understanding the data transmissions, the carrier requirements, and the discrepancy reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Monitor the transmission of enrollment data to carriers and validate the successful loading of that data into the carrier’s systems. 

  • Work closely with internal departments and the carrier to establish quality improvements and error reduction.

  • Document, track, and follow-up on open client issues.  Work across departments and systems (customer systems, internal systems) to research, analyze and resolve questions/issues concerning system functionality and performance.   

  • Retrieve and analyze daily error reports, track error trends and liaise with other departments and carriers to effect data quality improvements and error reduction. 

  • Assist with testing and validation of enhancements to internal systems and carrier transmissions. 

  • Follow the department SOPs and SLAs along with tracking metrics in Salesforce.

  • Communicate with Sr. Analyst any trends found and offer recommendations for improvements.

  • Additional projects as assigned

  • Occasional long, irregular hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent GED) required. 

  • At least two (2) years in the health care industry (preferred). 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge and understanding of health care systems (preferred). 

  • Experience documenting business requirements and/or standard operating procedures. 

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal personnel, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Read, comprehend, interpret, and analyze moderately complex job-related documents and financial records. 

  • Work under absolute deadlines. 

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships. 

  • Determine when issues need to be escalated to a higher level. 

The annual base salary for this position is $47,000 - $57,000.

General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of TIH Insurance: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of TIH Insurance offering the position. TIH offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401k plan to teammates. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.
