Martis Camp Seasonal Food & Beverage Manager (Summer 2025) in Truckee, California
POSITION SUMMARY :
We're seeking enthusiastic Seasonal Food and Beverage Managers for a variety of exciting venues! These key roles are responsible for the planning, organizing, training, and directing of food and beverage service ambassadors, ensuring impeccable and friendly service for all members and guests. Successful candidates will possess excellent hospitality and management skills, creating exceptional guest experiences while also maintaining labor and financial goals. This involves controlling and evaluating all operations of restaurants, bars, and other food and beverage service entities within their assigned venue. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Recruitment and hiring of service team members
Organizing and publishing work schedules
Lead, supervise, and motivate the service team, including captains, servers, bartenders, bussers, and food runners, towards achieving exceptional guest service results and complete ambassador engagement.
Conducting daily pre-shift meetings
Monitor Ambassador work performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
Purchase and control of inventory items and products
Monitor revenues and manage expenses
Establish clear and constant communication with all necessary management personnel to execute the overall excellence.
Communicate with the culinary team to ensure smooth execution of service
Maintain an environment establishing the highest standards of quality service
Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of payroll, reports, point of sale procedures, and inventory management.
Manage housekeeping and sanitation standards in all areas of the outlet to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide warm hospitality, insights, advice, and assistance to all members.
Be informed on and promote all club activities and services
Comply at all times with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS :
A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Professional and polished appearance and gravitas
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and guest service skills.
Bilingual preferred (English / Spanish)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact and develop positive relationships within the organization.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a varied schedule
Maintain high ethical and moral standards
Must be innovative, solution-oriented, detail-oriented, and possess strong organization skills
Must possess a thorough understanding of various food and beverage service styles.
Problem-solving and rationalizing skills
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES :
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Management or supervisory experience in a private Club, high-end hotel, or resort.
TIPS and Serve Safe Certifications required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (With or without accommodations)
Ability to communicate and listen effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
Ability to lift 25lbs.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (annual, prorated)
