Providence St. Joseph Health Remote Coder - Swedish Physicians Billing - WA residents only in Tukwila, Washington

Description Follow up on insurance denials and aged claims, submit claims to secondary payers, and ensure accurate billing information is submitted. Answer all information requests from those payers, and trace all claims to those payers making sure they have been paid or denied appropriately in a timely manner. Re-submit claims to government agencies, medical service bureaus, and insurance companies. Submit claims appeals with supporting documentation as necessary and resolve aged insurance balances. Required Qualifications: Upon hire: National Certified Inpatient Coder Or Upon hire: National Certified Professional Coder Or Upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Certified Coding Specialist - Physician - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Technician - American Health Information Management Association Or Upon hire: National Registered Health Information Administrator - American Health Information Management Association 2 years ICD-10-CM and CPT coding experience performing clinic and hospital based inpatient and outpatient coding for professional billing Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent technical school completion of a certified coding program and 2 to 3 years related coding experience.
