Position Summary: Organized, detailed, professional with great work ethic to coordinate employee services of thePeople Support (PS)/ Human Resources department, specifically supportingbenefit/FMLA administration, pre-employment, new hire onboarding and HRIS reporting. Serve as special projects coordinator. Come to work prepared to troubleshoot, problem solve, guide and support Unity’s applicants, employees, guests, and visitors.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. First line of contact with walk-in and online applicants, guests, and co-workers. Responsible to troubleshoot and identify solutions independently while operating in the front area of the department.

  2. SME Administrator of behavioral assessment and skills testing for pre-interviews. Research testing and assessment new offerings as requested.

  3. Administer the post-offer process including but not limited to new hire documents, federal I-9 procedures, employment processing including coordinating background check results, pre-employment drug testing and electronic onboarding steps. Responsible for audit results.

  4. Administrator of workflow transactions into Paycom HRIS including but not limited to electronic onboarding, new hire documentation and employee status changes. Interface with the payroll department accordingly.

  5. Update and distribute reports weekly, monthly, annually on recruitment and talent management.

  6. Create and plan employee engagements, employee recognition program and special events including birthday celebrations, monthly employee meetings, employment service anniversaries, holiday celebrations, and social activities.

  7. Operate independently post-training to maintain processes and procedures with little to no input from the Senior Generalists.

  8. Organize and record recruitment documentation in a professional, proficient manner with accurate information during the interview process. Maintaining these records in HRIS and hard filing system.

  9. Perform other general administrative duties including but not limited to badge card system, personnel and medical files, insurance form intake, scheduling for the PS department, file system, supply orders, light cleaning, invoice processing, credit card remedy, professionally respond to correspondence, produce special reports, and create/distribute HR forms.

  10. Complete on-line worker’s compensation claims and LTD reports with insurance carrier as requested.

  11. Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule – this position is not a remote or telecommute position.

  12. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.

  13. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and time off request.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  1. Support Senior Generalist in areas of safety and benefit administrative functions.

  2. Serve as back up in place of the Senior Generalist of Recruitment, as requested.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree emphasis in Business orHuman Resources. Bachelor’s preferred.

Experience:

  1. 2 years’ direct experience in administrative roles such as office manager or executive assistant.

  2. 3 years in professional written responses such as email, memos, vendor request, summaries.

  3. 1 year experience effectively communicating written and verbal instructions to others.

  4. 1-year of proven experience being detailed oriented in an office environment.

  5. Demonstrated ability problem solving in real-world employee situations requiring quick thinking with limited supervision.

  6. Outstanding, articulate written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills demonstrating calm demeanor in all circumstances.

  7. A working knowledge of employment laws as it pertains to operating in a people support function, preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient end user of MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • 1 years’ experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including time management module, preferred.

Certificates & Licenses: PHR or SPHR is a plus.
