We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager for our Surgery franchise.

Job description

As an Ethicon Sales Manager you are responsible for managing a highly engaged and knowledgeable team of sales professionals, who bring our market leading innovations to the OR every day. You prioritize patients and customers and ensure they have access to latest innovations to drive better patient outcomes. You drive consistent, sustainable, and profitable growth through data driven planning, structured execution and strong people leadership. You interact and collaborate with all relevant internal and external (focus on surgeons/KOL’s) stakeholders and guide your team to perform at highest level possible to drive value for these stakeholders, in one of the most advanced markets of the world. You proudly serve as an ambassador of the biggest healthcare company in the world. You demonstrate result drive, while exercising “can-do” and “lead by example” attitude when it comes to principles of Our Credo.

Main areas of responsibility / expected results / objectives of the role

  • Oversees the development and execution of account-based sales plans and campaigns for hospital accounts to achieve business targets, while driving value for our patients and customers.

  • Drives cross-franchise results in Integrated Account Teams, representing broader J&J MedTech initiatives.

  • Participates in the Management Team of Ethicon to establish the long-term vision, strategy and objectives for the franchise and company.

  • Creates strong, productive and sustainable relationships with Ethicon customers / Key Opinion Leaders

  • Demonstrates leadership in cultural change; from product to solutions selling.

  • Establishes and manages effective programs to, coach, appraise and train sales reps in order to create a high performing team.

  • Develops a robust pipeline of diverse talent with skills to succeed in a complex and dynamic marketplace

  • Champions initiatives to promote an inclusive workplace environment and highly engaged workforce

  • Creates a Credo aligned culture, ensuring Health Care Compliance and integrity principles are championed and actively practiced at every level of the organization

Qualifications

Required skills

  • Previous MedTech experience

  • Having demonstrated strong direct or indirect people leadership skills

  • Proven track record in driving results & excellence in execution

  • Ability to build respect and trust with customers, employees, and internal stakeholders

  • Proven ability to manage complexity & courageously facing difficult situations

  • Ability to connect and effectively collaborate across a diverse group of business stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment

  • Integrity and Credo-based leadership

  • Ability to switch between strategic and tactical work daily, requiring being able to quickly zoom in and out

  • Strong data and insight orientation informing strategies and plans

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively (in Dutch and English)

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the surgery landscape

  • Knowledge of the Netherlands market landscape

  • Knowledge of solution selling

  • Experience working for a mid-size or multinational company
