Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr Director WWMO, Portfolio Strategy Lead

To oversee and drive Pan Tumor activities and lead the cross functional matrix providing medical strategic direction across late-stage assets and indications in oncology.

Partner with the WW Medical tumor teams to strategize and execute on patient focused activities. Work with colleagues in Global Program Teams, Commercial, Markets and Medical Capabilities to ensure seamless strategy execution across tumors.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Medical Lead will participate in the cross- functional matrix teams to provide scientific and medical support on behalf of WW Medical Oncology as well as develop and execute WW Medical Pan-tumor and Oncology franchise-wide strategic deliverables (Medical Plan, Integrated Evidence Plan, Scientific Narrative, Communication Plans, Publications, and Oncology Strategy Narrative).

  • This role will have accountability as the WW Medical Oncology Lead for Patient Focus activities including Disease Awareness Campaigns, Ad boards, symposia and is responsible to deliver the WWMO strategy for patient focus across late-stage assets and indications in oncology.

  • Collaborates and co-leads medical activities related to Sub Cutaneous launch readiness.

  • Medical lead for External Innovation & Clinical Collaborations with shared goals and objectives with the EICC GPT. Oversee Clinical Collaborations EICC and Emerging Tumors Medical activities. Lead the cross functional matrix providing medical strategic direction on patient centric activities.

  • Serves as the Medical lead for emerging tumors (rare tumor portfolio of ISRs including GBM, sarcomas, NETs and others)

  • Leads the early Access Programs in collaboration with the RCO organization and represents WWMO in the early access Core Team to deliver PAA strategies.

  • Partners closely with the Global Safety Organization for oncology safety medical assessments.

  • Works closely with the WW Tumors Leads, Global Congress Excellence team and the Professional Societies Lead to deliver Oncology Congress Strategy and narrative.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a significant experience in big matrix management.

  • Advanced degree. Pharm.D., PhD, MD, MS with general knowledge of pharmaceutical operations, i.e., advocacy, medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, commercialization.

  • Understanding of drug development across the continuum from development to commercialization.

  • Strong interpersonal, public communication and negotiation skills

  • Able to innovate, analyze and solve problems with attention to detail.

  • Ability and willingness to travel for global congresses.

  • Previous cross-functional experience is desirable as this position requires a high degree of interaction with teams encompassing Patient Advocacy, Medical Affairs, Research & Development, Commercialization, Corporate Affairs, and other enterprise-wide teams.

  • Highly collaborative, possess a track record of building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, and able to communicate business topics effectively with senior management, peers, and others.
