Summary: As a member of the Martin’s family, th e Engineering Project Manager is primarily responsible for planning, directing, executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager is a professional, who has working knowledge of the technical details of managing projects including human resources, project scope, time, quality, cost, risk, procurement and communication; who embraces a mindset of thorough planning and continuous improvement, who is rigorously dedicated to extraordinary quality and customer service, who continuously strive to improve communication channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct s and manages project development from beginning to end.

  • Define s project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop s fu ll-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Communicates o penly and e ffectively the project expectations to team members and stakeholders timely.

  • Estimate s the resources and human resources needed to achieve project goals.

  • Draft s and submits budget proposals, and recommends subsequent budget changes w here necessary.

  • Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

  • Determines and assesse s need for additional staff and/or consultants and make s the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.

  • Set s and continually manage s project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

  • Delegate s tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Plans and t rack s project milestones and deliverables.

  • Develop s and deliver s progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and p resentations.

  • Determine s the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze s results, and troubleshoot s problem areas.

  • Proactiv e ly ma nage s change in project scope, identif ies potential crises, and devise s contingency plans.

  • Defines project success criteria and disseminate t h em to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

  • Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

  • Build s , develop s , and grow s any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

  • Conduct s project post mortems and create s a recommendations report . Allows open dialogue in order to i dentify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • D evelop s best practices and tools for project execution and management.

  • Adheres to , reports, and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

    Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • B achelor 's degree ( B . S .) in Engineering ;

  • F ive years ’ re lated experience .

    Language Skills :

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills :

    Demonstrates abilities in the following areas; applies mathematical concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics ; applies knowledge of prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and mechanical or electrical processes.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Demonstrates abilities in the following areas; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusion or approaches to problems; application of general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers to questions posed; interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions; arranges things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

    Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .

  • CAD software .

  • Project management software .

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid passport book or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire.

    Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • K nowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic thinking, resource allocation, leadership techniques, human resource modeling, and production methods and coordination of peopl e and resources.

  • K nowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

The temperature in the production area is may be impacted by outside weather conditions.
