About the Team

Our Finance and Accounting team works closely with our IT department and shared services team in Mexico to ensure seamless operations across multiple locations. The team consists of 3 members in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and 6 additional members in Vernon Hills, Illinois, collaborating regularly on tasks such as accounts payable, reconciliations, and monthly close processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with cross-functional teams, contribute to financial analysis, and support critical internal controls to maintain compliance with corporate policies. You’ll be integral in driving process improvements while supporting key activities, such as audit assistance and budget reviews, within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you can look forward to as a Sr. Accountant

• All coordination with shared service center on accounts payable and reconciliation

• AP aging and past due analysis, GRIR, workflow, mismatched IC reconciliation. Work closely with operation team.

• Additional vendor payment and deductions per buyer/planner.

• Monthly close JE.

• Accrual balance review and analysis.

• SG&A and overhead analysis review against forecast and budget..

• Internal and external audit assistance.

• Maintain relevant internal control for compliance with corporate policy

Your Profile as a Sr. Accountant

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is required

• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting/finance functions

• Good with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP

• Ability to problem solve, self-review work, take initiative and work with minimal guidance.

• Preferred 1+ year of experience in the durable goods manufacturing industry (corporateor plant environment).

• Preferred knowledge of plant accounting principles

The expected base compensation for this role is $69,100.00 to $86,400.00 annually. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
