Description

The Office Financial Administrator (OFA) will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our construction business. This position involves a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities, from maintaining precise financial records to overseeing daily financial operations. The OFA must be an effective communicator, capable of liaising seamlessly with the operations team, project owners, subcontractors, and co-workers.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day project-related accounting activities.

  • Collaborate with project managers to review budget-to-actual performance.

  • Prepare and generate invoices for project owners.

  • Participate in monthly invoice meetings alongside the project manager.

  • Handle accounts payable processes, including entering bills and receipts and printing checks.

  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to guarantee compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong people management skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Superior organizational and time management abilities.

  • Commitment to maintaining integrity and confidentiality in all financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Experience with NetSuite Oracle is preferred.

    Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated skill in Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Ability to use Oracle software effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
