Job Overview
The Inventory Control and Value-Added Service (VAS) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and managing value-added services. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can optimize inventory processes, lead a team, and collaborate across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Supervise inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock adjustments, and reconciliation to maintain accuracy.
Oversee value-added services such as kitting, labeling, packaging, and customization of products.
Lead and train a team of inventory control and VAS associates, ensuring productivity and compliance with company policies.
Develop and implement best practices for inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Work closely with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to minimize discrepancies and optimize inventory flow.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and report key inventory metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
Utilize warehouse management system such as SAP, PKMS, and other technology to track inventory and improve operations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy in inventory control and VAS processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or value-added services.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP, PKMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements within a warehouse environment.
The California pay range for this position is from $79,700 – $85,000. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
