Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Typically requires 2-5 years of experience.

Job Description:

Demonstrates a proven working knowledge of various shipping/receiving principles. Tasks assigned require a basic knowledge of concepts and procedures.

Demonstrates the ability to solve basic problems with assistance. Recognizes problems in shipping/receiving process and reports to appropriate supervisor and/or lead person in a timely manner.

Proficient in the comprehension of relevant documents such as routings, delivery notes, bill of ladings, and other documents as related to warehouse inventory, shipping, and receiving.

Proficient in preparation of products for shipments and/or stocking to include proper fastening/securing to holding fixtures and loading/unloading of materials.

Familiar with inventory transfer processes.

Become familiar with computer systems used to retrieve relevant work documents as they relate to shipping and receiving of products.

Demonstrates a clear understanding of safety policies and procedures (Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Quest, etc.). Operates overhead crane and other capacity lifting equipment (forklift) safely (training provided).

Participates/contributes in continuous improvement initiatives and programs.

Effectively communicates and works with internal and external customers.

Provides informal guidance and support to new team members.

Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function.

Continually produces quality work with minimal defect rate by detecting own defects for ongoing corrective action.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or complete routine reports.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Ability to work in two specific areas of assignment with minimal assistance: receiving, pass to stock, shipping, setouts, and cycle count/inventory.

  • The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local payroll.

  • At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $42K-$52k.

  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
