DOMA Technologies Business Development Representative in Virginia Beach, Virginia

**[Summary of Position [The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in the growth and success of DOMA Technologies in the SLED and Commercial markets. This position requires a candidate with a background in lead generation, outbound prospecting, relationship building and preferably within the software or technology industry. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including sales, project management, and marketing, to develop sales plans and strategies that will help expand the customer base and identify new projects and opportunities.

  • Contact and qualify new leads that come in through inbound lead sources such as email and website inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to build plans and strategies to reach new and prospective customers.
  • Conduct research build account plans on target customers that will lead to meaningful outbound activities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of the company's products or services.
  • Generate new sales opportunities using outbound strategies including, but not limited to, phone calls, emails, LinkedIn and CRM.
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, spending trends and competitive analysis.
  • Monitor, update and track new leads and active opportunities using modern CRM and database systems.
  • Manage annual software renewals for all existing customers while also pursuing upsell and cross sell opportunities.
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows on behalf of the company to drive new business and create brand awareness.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.

Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications or another related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development or other related field and preferably within the software or technology industry.

Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and create connections with prospects.

Have experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or another similar prospecting applications that will allow you to track leads and next steps with prospects.

Familiarity with sales methodologies, such as MEDDIC, Solution Selling, etc.

Knowledge of SLED and Commercial market dynamics, regulations, and procurement processes is desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
