Join our Cloud Networking team!

We're an experienced team of 12 software engineers specializing in networking software located in Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. The team is self-organizing and can impact product requirements and decisions. We enable customers to secure and isolate their resources and workloads on the Akamai Connected Cloud, by designing and implementing networking products such as the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) functionality, Cloud Firewall and other networking products.

Shape the future of the Akamai Connected Cloud

This role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on Akamai's growing cloud offerings, requiring a combination of system design, leadership skills, programming and debugging skills, an obsession with code quality, and independence. You must have a passion for designing and building software, get things done quickly and get them done right.

As a Software Engineer Senior Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Building out cloud platform functionality that sets up, manages, and protects networking in the cloud.

• Designing, implementing, reviewing, documenting, and testing high quality code in close collaboration with colleagues.

• Coordinating with teams globally as part of working on new features, designs and other tasks.

• Building the core software components in Go, but also being ready to work in other languages

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have expertise with software architecture for large scale distributed software systems

• Have experience with object-oriented programming languages, such as Go, C , Python or Java.

• Have solid skills in writing, testing and understanding complex computer software.

• Possess good written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences

• Have a track record in collaborating with product and project managers.
