Oracle Master Principal Data Architect in India

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Management Architect, having at-least 15-20 years of deep technical hands-on expertise in designing and implementing Data management architectures to drive the next phase of our Data & AI growth initiatives. You have great communication skills and can interact at all levels (CIO, CTO, Product Engineering, IT Architects and developers). The job requires you to engage cross-functional teams including Data Architects, Data Engineers, data scientists, AI engineers, and DevOps teams to align Data management infrastructure with evolving business and technical needs. You will be accountable and empowered to drive building innovative experiences in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Success is measured providing the field and customers with world class technical subject matter expertise and drive the following outcomes

You bring your proven experience in 3 or more of the following areas. Data Lakehouse and experience with Oracle DB is a MUST

  • A successful track record at implementing Data management solutions using a range of structured and unstructured database management systems including RDBMS, Object storage File formats (such as Parquet, Delta lake, Iceberg, Hudi ) , Hadoop, Oracle Database, Oracle MySQL and one or more of the non-Oracle Databases such as Postgres, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, Mongo, Casandra, Open search. Redis and other SQL and NoSQL stores

  • Experience in architecting distributed scalable systems in domains such as e-commerce, retail, telecom and financial services.

  • A deep understanding and experience of how to build data pipelines/data processing/query solutions using a variety of open-source components frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Trino, Phoenix

  • A recognized hands-on Subject Matter Expert on the Oracle Database and Oracle Engineered Systems line of products such as Exadata, Autonomous Database, Oracle Database and its various options around HA/DR, Security and Manageability

  • An understanding of complex data integration and data pipelines from legacy systems to new streaming architectures using Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Data Integrator or AWS/Azure solutions such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Informatica

  • A good understanding of the data platform solutions of other hyperscalers such as Databricks, AWS, Azure

  • A deep understanding of modern trends in cloud data architectures around Data Fabric, data mesh, Data Governance, Data catalogue and data pipelines is required.

  • Good understanding of Data Science architecture and In-Database ML and analytics

  • Programming skills in Java, PL/SQL and Python is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Data Management reference architectures on cloud and how to automate their deployment using Terraform is a plus

  • Demonstrate clear problem-solving skills around database performance tuning and a thorough understanding of hardware, operating systems and networks to achieve optimal performance

Can clearly articulate the TCO and technical differentiators of Oracle database management systems, integration and analytics solutions
