Job Description

The Service Engineering Group, part of the European Development Center, develops cutting-edge software solutions to enable the Oracle Platinum Services, Oracle Advanced Customer Services, Cloud Services & Support Service businesses.

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to be part of our continuously growing team of highly skilled professionals.

As a senior engineer you will be responsible for engineering solutions used in the provision of advanced services to Oracle Customers. You will provide thought-leadership in the design and creation of these services in partnership with product management and delivery organizations. We focus on providing solutions that will enable the release of a continual value add to our customers.

We are looking particularly for individuals who have experience using Python, Oracle Linux 8 with SELinux and ansible development skills. Ideally they would also have experience with Oracle Engineered Systems and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Current deliverables include the developing of the support platform for the delivery of advanced services to Oracle customer including for e.g. automation, monitoring, configuration and monitoring.

Responsibilities

Key tasks include but are not limited to the following:

• Design, planning, development of engineering solutions;

• Contribution to discussion on architecture for support platform solution;

• Preparation of software specifications & supporting artifacts;

• Defining automated and engineered solutions to our business partners;

• Develop thought leadership, advice and guidance on the approach to the solution engineering;

• Working with teams to develop solutions leveraging enterprise technology platforms;

• To be a champion for Service Engineering solutions Oracle;

• To develop and maintain direct relationships with the appropriate external and internal stakeholders;

• Willing and able to drive cross-team and global projects and initiatives;
