IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking aSystems Architect, with experience in enterprise level systems architecture, to provide Systems Engineering technical services. In support of the customer, you will assist with the development of enterprise architecture and conduct systems engineering analysis that will facilitate system of systems integration across the Army and Joint Force.
The system architect position currently available is located at Redstone Arsenal, AL, where you will be working with the Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing / Space Cross-Functional Team (APNT/S CFT).
Education and General Experience:
Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Degree, Bachelors and twelve (12) years or more experience; Masters and ten (10) years or more experience; PhD or JD and eight (8) years or more experience
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; TS/ SCI preferred
Proven experience with technical fundamentals in existing Army programs (e.g. ground vehicles, aviation, missile defense, long range fires/ artillery, Soldier systems)
Expert-level proficiency with use of architecting to support senior level enterprise decision making
Expert-level proficiency with architecture tools
Experience in the development and maintenance of architecture products across the span of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), to include Project Views, Capability Views, Operational Views, System/Service Views, Standard Views and Data and Information Views
Familiar with and able to develop architecture artifacts using common modelling standards and languages (e.g. Unified Profile for MODAF and DoDAF (UPDM) Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modelling Language (SysML) and Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN)
Experience utilizing MagicDraw
Architecture domain understanding from a holistic enterprise perspective
Ability to recommend enterprise architecture tradeoffs, impacts, and advancement
Proven experience in development and use of modeling for architecture solutions
Expert-level understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes
Experience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioning
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums
Job Duties:
Developing architectural framework using Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for a large enterprise
Leading a system engineering team in collaboration and approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone events
Working across multiple Offices and Organizations to identify and define needs
Identifying and defining future capability and interoperability needs
Identifying key architecture and system level trades
Developing strategies in support of Department of Defense (DoD) architectures
Assessing the performance of current and future architecture concepts
Providing technical and programmatic guidance to the architecture and system level requirements process
Develop architecture models to capture the holistic view of the enterprise
Preparing briefings for senior decision makers
Clearance Requirements: Must have a Secret Clearance or be able to obtain a Clearance to qualify for this position.
