Overview:

Job Title:Cloud & Policy SME

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is seeking an experienced, cleared Cloud & Policy SME to p rovide design, engineering, and operational support to multiple cloud based environments in support of ELITE AFRICOM Hybrid based in Vienna, VA or Tampa, FL.

Duties and responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Analyze services to determine viability to migrate to the cloud and develop roadmaps for execution

• Migrate, maintain, and support Cloud computing environments and continuously create improvements to enhance the durability, performance, and maintainability

• Develop and validate security controls for cloud environments, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.

• Create actionable security guidance covering encryption, logging, network segmentation, Zero Trust, and risk mitigation.

• Align documentation with relevant security frameworks (DISA SCCA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP).

• Provide expertise on securing hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including CNAPP, ICAM, and policy-as-code implementations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active, in-scope US Government issuedSecretclearance.

• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements,US Citizenship is required.

• Five (5) years of recent specialized experience

• Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 or AWS or Google Cloud Services

• Experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration

• Experience working in a hybrid environment

• Expertise in cloud security, Zero Trust, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.

• Experience implementing cloud security best practices (FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, Kubernetes security).

• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, CISM).

Desired Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator OR Microsoft Certified Azure Developer

• DoD 8570 IAT-III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISM)

Education:

• Bachelors degree + 5 years of specialized experience, OR Associates degree + 7 years specialized experience, OR Required cert + 9 years specialized experience in lieu of degree, OR 11 total years of specialized experience in lieu of a degree.
