Position Description:
Exeter is looking for a “SACM” Service Asset Configuration Management Specialist to work out of U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Relocation and shipment of household goods, base housing, and access to government facilities/services are included; complete details of allowances and benefits will be provided to qualified applicants.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all IA/CND policies and requirements.
Provides configuration management planning.
Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
Manage the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
Establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by department personnel.
Organizes and implements and follow the process of evaluating performance against established policies and procedures to ensure hardware and documentation integrity is being maintained.
Asset Manager will t rack hardware Warranties and their lifecycle for replacements i.e. “ LCR ” l ife cycle replacement
Create a nd standardized system across the AO for network usage
Tracks baseline image revisions/software lists
Updates hardware/software data in Service Now on release record completion
Tracks 3rd party software and Enterprise software license expirations
Downloads/maintains 3rd party software (SW) for library, as well as Army Gold Master image
Verifies that requested software has a current Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Enters change requests into Service Now for approval
Create CTASK for each department’s workflow
Monitor Each CHG request for the completion of each department
Attend all CHG boards with SC/BC for approvals of request
Attend Change Control Boards , (CRB ), ( TRB ), ( CCB) for approving changes to the NIPR/SIPR networks and hosts SOUTHCOM Change Control Boards by Microsoft Teams
Attend local FuOps meting and project meeting for up and coming changes or new projects
Capture and Distributed CCB meeting notes
Performs software audits from SCCM reports
Performs server inventory by operating system and core count for yearly Microsoft licensing
Experience working with Service Now and One Note or Tracking ticketing software
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret required to start
Configuration Management experience
T ravel may be required within local AOR
Desired Qualifications /Experience :
Prior experience s upporting SOUTCOM / US Military
Experience working with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain configuration baselines (development, tests, production, etc. ) supporting complex systems and project engineering development and support model.
Experience or familiarity with DoD IT policies and procedures.
Excellent communications skills; written, oral, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
