What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for designing new subject areas, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse containing corporate performance information and operational information for all Customer Interaction Centers worldwide. This position will be responsible for data warehouse structure and all Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) functions from a variety of operational systems. The Senior Developer is also responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and monitoring data ETL processes related to data warehousing system lifecycle for continuous improvement of the business intelligence systems across the enterprise.

Additionally, the Senior Developer will manage the analysis and design, as well as planning and performing all system testing. Assessing the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse, making key technology decisions, verifying that the implementation meets all user requirements is also required. Some other duties may include project timeline development and assistance, client interfacing, and development of business and user requirements. This position will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to other IT and business team members.

The Senior Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, production launch, and ongoing support of Global Data Warehousing, Operational and Reporting applications. The Global DWH gathers data from many diverse Percepta and Client source systems including multiple Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Telephony ACDs, After Call IVR Customer Satisfaction surveys, E-mail Customer Satisfaction surveys, Quality Systems, Voice Mail and Work Force Management. These global DWH solutions support North America, UK, Germany, South Africa, Australia, and APAC regions.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

  • Provide Technical Leadership for design, development, testing, production launch, and ongoing support of Global Data Warehousing, Operational and Reporting applications. Develop and support Global DWH metrics required by the client’s Program SOW’s.

  • Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions to collect data from various internal and external sources.

  • Use tools in the cloud data warehouse development and deployment such as ETL tools, data quality and cleansing tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, data mining, etc.

  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) functions from a variety of operational systems.

  • Strong experience in Power BI data modeling, analysis, and visualizations.

  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, business analysts and data scientists to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements.

  • Assessing the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse.

  • Assessing and ensuring all operational aspects of the data warehouse, including availability, data integrity, data feeds, etc.

  • Verifying that the implementation meets all user requirements.

  • Make key technology decisions related to Global DWH and Enterprise Systems applications.

  • Mentor and assist in technical development of other technical staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Role

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Mathematics highly desired.

  • Power BI certifications desirable.

  • 10 years of experience developing Global DWH software including ETL, Logical & Physical data modeling, SQL & Data Access Optimization, and Reporting and Analytics experience. Data staging areas, Cleansing and transformation mechanisms, Star/Snowflake schemas, Business Intelligence delivery mechanisms.

  • 5 years of experience with DWH Performance monitoring and implementing performance improvements.

  • 5 years of recent experience with PowerBI Tabular and SSAS Multidimensional Data Models

  • In depth (T-)SQL development knowledge. Experience with ASP.NET (C#,VB), VBA (O365), Python is a plus.

  • Experience with customer contact centers and/or customer contact center technology preferred. Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Telephony ACDs, After Call IVR Customer Satisfaction surveys, E-mail Customer Satisfaction surveys, Quality Systems, Voice Mail and Work Force Management.

  • Cloud System architecture experience as relates to Data Warehouse services and infrastructure, AWS preferred.

  • Significant experience with Cloud Data Warehouse technologies and complex data models

  • A proven track record for the successful delivery of cloud data warehouse solutions and related components

  • Strong Global Data Warehousing Technical design, development, and production support skills

  • Ability to develop complex data models (tabular, multi-dimensional, materialized views) reports and dashboards

  • Excellent knowledge in SQL/DAX queries, functions, and metrics in Power BI.

  • Knowledge of AWS, AWS Quicksight reporting, nice to have.

  • Knowledge on MS Analysis Services.

  • Must be a tenacious problem solver able to make routine decisions as well as after-hours support requirements.

  • Good communications and listening skills are critical components of this job. Must be able to interact with development and infrastructure teams, business and vendors including the training and mentoring of team members.
