Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Division Director for the Cybercore Integration Center. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Cybercore facility with every other Friday off.

Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) National and Homeland Security (N&HS) directorate is seeking someone who can continue the impressive growth and impact of the Laboratory’s Cybercore Integration Center. This is an opportunity for the right applicant to make a significant difference in the security of critical infrastructure and critical functions worldwide. Cybercore focuses on cyber-physical systems, that is, physical systems that are digitally controlled. This mission space is often referred to as control systems cybersecurity, Operational Technology (OT) security, and other labels, but we focus on both the cyber and the physical. With growing cyber risks to critical infrastructure, we are expected to continue growing to develop next-generation capabilities to address those risks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Set the vision, developing the strategy, and implement the mission.
  • Ensure the professional development of division employees as well as the maturation of the organization and its processes. Currently, the Integration Center comprises over 200 employees and executes over $100M in program work annually.
  • Manage a matrixed organization of five departments combining the expertise of program managers, cyber threat analysts, cyber researchers, control system engineers, and support staff.
  • Partner primarily with US government sponsors (e.g., Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Defense (DoD), and others) to directly improve their ability to successfully meet their cyber-physical mission requirements.
  • Deliver products and services (1) to understand how an adversary might misuse a control system to produce an undesired physical effect; (2) to prevent that potential misuse; and (3) to manage the physical effects if misuse occurs.

*Minimum Requirements: * * Baccalaureate and at least 15 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Experience considered relevant includes leadership of large organizations of people and programs in a scientific/engineering field and/or in the U.S. military or other national security-related positions. Prior success as active duty military, as a US government employee, or a national laboratory employee is especially applicable. * Existing knowledge of sponsors, particularly among DOE, DHS, and DoD elements. * Proven experience successfully leading teams and developing employees for professional growth and career advancement. * Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI). * Must be willing to take and complete a polygraph examination. * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

  • *Job Information: *
  • The target pay range for this position is $174,610.00 - $248,318.00- $ annually. The full pay range is $121,920.00 - $316,992.00. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
