Nature and Purpose

The Financial Analyst (FA) is a visible role that will be responsible for supporting day-to-day International business unit´s finance activities as well as providing analysis to support management decisions. These finance activities include corporate business unit regional reporting, monthly P&L forecasting, annual budgeting, and miscellaneous project work. A successful candidate will be comfortable and seasoned in collaboration, as will partner with senior leadership, commercial management, product management, supply chain and other cross-functional team members to deliver decision-making support for key deliverables and business initiatives. The position will report to Finance Director- International.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes

Describe essential accountabilities the job performs and key outcomes:

  • Support development of annual budgets, strategic business plans and monthly forecasts including modeling, analysis and variance.

  • Helps ensure the integrity and accuracy of global management reporting package as well as consistent BU/Regional reporting templates, driving uniform reviews.

  • Supports and co-facilitates monthly review sessions with key business stakeholders to ensure integrity of all financial reporting and identification of financial risks and uncertainties. The FA will support these reviews by providing analytical reports, so they fully understand the monthly and YTD results, monthly trends and period over period variance analysis.

  • Supports preparation of presentations for senior management team and assist Finance in the data gathering/view.

  • Creates and advises on business-driven financial analyses, ensuring alignment with business strategies, priorities, and financial requirements, such as modeling the viability of new business efforts to include cost-benefit analyses, revenue alternatives, and costing scenarios based on the business leaders’ strategic direction and input.

  • Provides financial consulting on key strategic initiatives and priorities to help the business units stay focused on achieving their strategic goals.

  • Support understanding and use of metrics, scorecards and reporting for both corporate and field teams.

  • Data Structure Support – help support any efforts to consolidate data centrally and ensure follows common structure for whole organization (ex: Sales Cube, Spend Cube, etc.).

  • Partner with Controllers to create a best-in-class finance & accounting function, ensuring roles & responsibilities are aligned to allow for the most efficient use of company resources.

  • Adhoc analysis & other business requests - use BI and Planful to provide adhoc reports and analysis as needed to support overall business.

  • Support continuous reviews of existing processes to asses operational efficiency of implementation of improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, reporting or FP&A.

  • Prior experience with financial reporting systems and visualization tools, such as Epicor, SAP, Host Analytics and Power BI.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes.

  • Broad overall business acumen with proficient ability to talk with executives in business terms.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.

  • Hands on, deadline & detail oriented.

  • Team Player, Ownership, Drive for Results and Customer Focus.

  • Occasional travel, typically less than 25%.

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills includes analytical modeling, robust chart prep and data mining for large data sets; Power Pivot experience is ideal (DAX).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and superlative listening skills.

  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still maintaining focus on overall company objectives (“the big picture”).

  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our processes and displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.

  • Agile, resilient and hands on – can handle volume and pace.
