BayCare Health System Financial Assistance Specialist in United States

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.

Position Details:

  • Location: Onsite (Bardmoor Hospital)

  • Status: Full time

  • Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Days: Monday through Friday

Required Training:

  • Two weeks in person training (Clearwater)

  • Three weeks shadowing (could be held at any location within Pinellas and Pasco)

Responsibilities:

The Financial Assistance Specialist is responsible for identifying ER patients thru bedside assessment and interview who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies. May act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies. The Financial Assistance Specialist must be able to clearly documents all activities.

Certifications and Licensures

  • None required

Education

  • Required High School or equivalent

Experience

  • Required 3 years Healthcare customer service or Social Services with High School Diploma

  • OR 1 year Healthcare customer service or Social Services with an Associate's Degree

  • Preferred knowledge of community resources for unfunded/ underfunded patients
