Northeast Region Health Solutions Client Delivery Leader

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our Northeast Aon offices.

What the day will look like

Identifying national objectives, building efficiency, leading, mentoring and developing colleagues are some of our most meaningful responsibilities as leaders. Our Regional Client Delivery Leaders are responsible for the overall performance of Client Delivery colleagues in their region, demonstrating through the Local Client Delivery Leaders (LCDL) to ensure ongoing development and consistency in both internal resource management and external delivery of our solutions. This is a wide-ranging role including Operational focus in integrating new technology to improve efficiency, Leadership skills in gaining support and trust of colleagues to work differently, and people skills in recruiting, managing, mentoring, and guiding colleagues in the Region.

  • Collaborate with Regional Practice Leaders (RPL) to understand organizational priorities, leading change management and implementing efficiency initiatives within the nation and local markets in the region.

  • Learn the business and key drivers while partnering with other stakeholders. Continually seek to understand how each functional role contributes to the success of the business.

  • Partner with Local Practice Leaders (LPL) to understand business objectives and key drivers in their market, support the culture and keep one another informed of activities or changes impacting the market. Lead through LCDL in staffing support and understand prospect and pipeline activity.

  • Work in step with Operations to support business initiatives around compliance and revenue recognition protocols, responsible for ensuring local markets are compliant.

  • Partner with HR to lead requisitions and replacement hiring in the region, colleague retention, colleague performance concerns, and overall performance guidelines.

  • Work with talent acquisition on regional needs including candidate identification, interview assessments and compensation packages.

  • Coordinate development and delivery of targeted training nationally and regionally to ensure colleagues are well supported and prepared to excel in their roles.

  • Supervise capacity and workflow of staff to deliver on expectations for client deliverables to determine if staffing cannot be accomplished locally and regional or national resources are needed.

  • Support managers and colleagues across the region in working through client issues, addressing colleague interactions, and providing individual mentors or training.

  • Works with LCDL on succession planning for key clients, sales pipeline, performance management, and recruiting.

  • Provide mentorship and support to LCDLs in crafting overall processes and training for the local Client Delivery team to promote consistent client delivery and colleague development across all market segments.

  • Ownership of National and Regional Client Delivery initiatives and meetings to support ongoing projects and workstreams focused on efficiency, development, and engagement. Recommend changes to processes and procedures as needed.

  • Responsible for supervising Client Delivery colleague capacity within the region. Partner with LCDL and LPL to plan for resource needs. Deploy colleagues in the most effective manner to meet assigned local and regional business goals, improved account recoverability. and enhanced professional growth.

  • Partner with regional and local AE Leaders, Sales leaders, and LPLs to help set priorities and identify revenue opportunities, ensure team is up to date on Aon United knowledge, train colleagues on finalist meeting presence and staff opportunities.

  • Maintain education regarding market conditions, compliance regulations, etc. in collaboration with U.S. Broking team and H&B Legal team.

  • Actively participate in Aon’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and community initiatives.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Ten plus years of health and benefit operations experience in a consulting environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the benefits industry and local markets for managed health care products.

  • Seven plus years of people management experience with an emphasis on guiding colleagues to success.

  • Leadership understanding of business priorities and ability to explain and support initiatives to all level of colleagues.

  • Critical thinking and analytical problem solver able to understand qualitative and quantitative metrics to identify root causes and help influence decisions at the strategic and tactical level.

  • Strong interpersonal, public presentation, and persuasion skills.

  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate laws and regulations related to health care.

  • Relevant state Accident and Health Insurance license(s) required within 90 days of hire date.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience.

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $235,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
