May act as functional or technical lead on basic and routine engagements and acts as a domain lead on larger and more complex engagements. Provides guidance and direction to other team members, and oversees research and analysis of customer requirements and processes. Contributes to the development and enhancement of Professional Services' methods, techniques, processes, and practices. Professional development focused on advanced product and technical knowledge, specialty or subject matter expertise, team leadership and client relationship management .

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead or participate in the design of integration and customization solutions for customers. Develop design documents, diagrams, analyses, and prototypes as required using knowledge of the technologies available to create the solution.

  • Contribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying consulting skill set requirements, and developing timelines.

  • Leverage iterative lifecycle implementation experience to demonstrate prototype solutions to anticipate changes required in project plans and processes. Take initiative to achieve value-added results and improve upon solutions offered.

  • Work under minimal supervision. May lead small work teams on engagements. Work with the Project Manager or Project Coordinator to manage engagement scope, client expectations, and monitor implementation issues and status. Identify and appropriately communicate license and service opportunities.

  • Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with all team members - including customer, partner, and internal team members. Primarily communicate with immediate Deltek and customer peers, project management team, and Deltek and Customer management.

  • Serve as a mentor to other integration consultants and working partners, openly sharing knowledge and resources.

  • Occasionally support business development efforts by participating in sales activities, product demonstrations, estimating work efforts, and other business development support activities.

  • Develop methods and techniques to improve the process of delivering integration and customization solutions to customers. Contribute to Deltek's consulting knowledge base.

  • Perform other duties as assigned including user conference presentations, participation or presentations in Professional Services team meetings, contributions that handle DPS' delivery initiatives, consulting practice, and other initiatives.

  • Maintain consulting biography and individual competency data Manage administrative tasks including weekly time sheets to include detailed descriptions of consulting activities, and expense reports in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.

Work Location:US RemoteQualifications: Education and Experience:

  • Consulting: 4 to 10 years of experience

  • Industry: 5-20 years

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience or technical and/or product knowledge comparable to four-year degree in a related area

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications(s) preferred

    Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems

  • SQL experience

  • Java knowledge

  • Apply a variety of DPS tools, techniques, methods, processes, and best practices to varied assignments

  • Prepare documentation and complex reports in a clear concise manner and presents information to a well-organized and efficient manner - both oral and written.

  • Able to effectively lead small project teams

  • Take initiative to achieve value-added results across multiple areas of responsibility.

  • Able to work with minimal direction and promotes an open flow of information so that all concerned are well informed.

  • Adjust to changes in priority and scope and manage time effectively.

  • Develop moderate and complex solutions that consider the impact on other aspects of the project

  • Demonstrate a proven ability to exceed customer expectations.

  • Work to improve relationships with others by understanding their perspectives and issues and working toward win-win solutions.

  • Develop solutions and make decisions that consider potential impacts on customer's business

  • Relay concerns to project manager, project coordinator, or customer (if appropriate) with timely, meaningful, fact-based and constructive feedback

  • Partner and work closely with customers to further understand and anticipate their developing needs

  • Possess a high level of knowledge and experience within one or more customer industries
