Staff Project Management

Job Description

As a Staff Project Manager, you will manage several Integrated Circuit projects from Initiation to Mass Production Release. These ICs are used in a wide variety of applications including USB Charging, Battery Charging, Battery Management and Gauging applications. You will work closely with many stakeholders including Applications, Design, Marketing, Product, Quality and Test Engineers. We are staffing this position at our Morrisville; NC facility close to the state capital and at the center of the Research Triangle Park innovation hub.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage development Projects from Initiation to Mass Production Release.

  • Collaborate closely with multiple departments including Applications, Design, Marketing, Product, Quality and Test engineering.

  • Create project schedules with delivery dates, milestones, and critical path.

  • Drive product development diligently and strive for on time execution of project deliveries.

  • Lead weekly team meetings, document status, progress and assign action items.

  • Work closely with team members to identify project risks, issues and resolve timely.

  • Determine and implement back-up and risk mitigation plans.

  • Manage logistics to provide engineering samples and customer deliveries per deadline.

  • Provide clear project status to Management and key stakeholders.

  • Document and share Lessons Learned with the Project Management Organization.

  • Participate in the development of best Project Management Practices.

Qualifications

Must have’s:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Project Management, or Engineering Management

  • 6 to 8 years plus of relevant professional experience within the Electronics industry and or/ Semiconductor industry.

  • MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel), MS Project.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of engineers located across the globe.

  • Strong Interest in Semiconductor Industry and Automotive applications.

Nice to have’s:

  • Master’s degree in Project or Engineering Management

  • Project Management Professional Certification.

  • Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
