If you are a Test Systems Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of our Sidney, OH location, you will play a key role in advancing our motor testing capabilities and help secure a competitive advantage in the industry. You'll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to design, spec, and implement innovative systems on a global scale.

AS A TEST SYSTEMS ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Expand and enhance motor testing capabilities at the Sidney, Ohio laboratory while supporting the development of global Motor Engineering labs.

  • Gain thorough understanding of existing dynamometer software and hardware, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Manage the implementation and validation of production test equipment used to evaluate electrical characteristics of electric motor components.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with test systems, providing guidance and support the global motor test laboratories.

  • Utilize project management principles to effectively communicate project scope, timeline, risks, and status updates. Identify capital requirements for the lab and execute AR requirements to purchase.

  • Support the motor dyne testing of all Copeland product in the local lab.

  • Align the local lab with the global strategy in order to support the organizational needs.

  • Utilize project management principles to effectively communicate project scope, timeline, risks, and status updates.

  • Lead the charge in expanding our motor testing expertise in our Sidney, Ohio lab, solidifying Copeland's position at the forefront of the HVAC industry.

  • Spearhead the global transition to a new dynamometer systems, ensuring a smooth transfer of motor performance data collection.

  • Leverage current systems engineering capabilities and incorporate into the Motors function.

  • Support motor, compressor, and drive systems development through the testing, verification, and reporting of results on key critical programs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

  • Understanding of basic Software and hardware integration and programming

  • Understanding software coding and debugging

  • Understanding basic electrical theory

  • Written and verbal communication skills, reporting writing, and ability to present reports

  • Experience using Microsoft Office

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
