Job Description Summary

Are you a dynamic and analytical professional with a passion for manufacturing operations? We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead and manage our shop floor manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and executing sales orders from various customers, ensuring the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. You will also communicate with global regions to provide updates on the manufacturing status of sales orders.

Key responsibilities include preparing detailed project plans, interfacing with suppliers, executing and analyzing production work orders, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will investigate stock issues, support lean manufacturing projects, and track key process indicators.

If you hold a degree in advanced vocational training or Electric-Electronic Engineering, are fluent in Spanish with a basic level of English, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, we want to hear from you!

Job Description

Job Specifications:

  • Preparation and execution of the manufacturing plan for incoming customer orders with at least 2-week window. In this plan several factors and players need to be considered such as: order entry, engineering, procurement, material planning, project management, EHS, maintenance, industrialization, quality, subcontractors, testing and packaging conditions.

  • Coordination of internal and external human resources to execute manufacturing plans.

  • Deal with several internal or external contacts to establish regular operator training & responsible for frequent: production personnel training and update of skill matrix (I.E. EHS, quality, cost & delivery topics)

  • Lead regular meetings to inform operators and team members about production´s performance and key metrics.

  • Prepare production reports, which is part of the shop floor daily production management board and maintain track and maintain in a daily basis of this tool.

  • Daily review of production performance records of operators-machines and develop action plans in case of deviations.

  • Coordinate and check in a regular basis review of customer demand-capacity along with internal customers (GE Vernova).

  • Lead manufacturing improvement projects to increase productivity (OEE focus). Lead continuous improvement culture to improve quality and participate transformation project and mindset change from low volume to high volume.

  • Support, guide and train personnel with new production tasks (development of supervision tools and skills in coordination team).

  • Communicate and interface with different world regions about the manufacturing status of sales orders from beginning to end process flow, including shipping status.

  • Preparation and responsible of detailed planning for relevant projects and completion of the defined milestones with the support of several areas (engineering, project, quality, EHS, procurement, etc.) along with 3rd. subcontracted parties.

  • Interface with suppliers and service areas of supply chain for completion of a defined planning, meeting quality, costs and delivery.

  • Deployment and coordination of resources to meet project timelines.

  • Analysis of customer orders and execution, balancing of resources and very regular allocation of resources-costs.

  • Analysis of the execution of cycle times established in the cost structure for manufacturing of panels (real vs. planned).

  • Responsible to keep track of Key manufacturing process Indicators and follow-up of defined action plans: EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery. Support quality in root cause analysis to eliminate particular or systemic issues.

  • Conducting investigation analysis along with management for systemic stock issues such as: lack of materials, min. Stock requirements on bulk materials, etc.

  • Use existing ERP (SAP) and tools to improve and plan manufacturing circumstances.

  • Implementation at production shop floor of ideal work centers at production´s shop floor.

  • Implementation and execution of lean manufacturing projects such as: 5s, Andon, Bottleneck analysis, Gemba, Root Cause Analysis, OEE, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Advanced Vocational training (Electricity or Electronics) or Electric/Electronic Engineer.

  • At least 10 years of experience in the electric manufacturing sector working directly in the manufacturing area.

  • Experience in electric diagram interpretation and willingness to propose improvement actions.

  • High level in Spanish & basic level of English.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus and ability to cooperate with the different departments.

  • Team working approach, good communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of self-motivation, flexibility and self-learning aptitude.

  • Exposed to deal with multiple daily challenges against the time and exposed to execute manufacturing projects with limited timing and dealing with 3rd parties in many cases.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with use and implementation of lean manufacturing tools.

  • Mid-level knowledge of office tools.

  • Self-motivated, autonomous and dedicated team player.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and achieve milestones and deliverables.

  • Analytical and with high sense of urgency.

  • High communication and organization skills to coordinate activities involving different teams and areas.
