Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, personable, and skilled bartender to join our upscale casual cocktail lounge team. The ideal candidate will excel at creating exceptional guest experiences through expert drink preparation, product knowledge, and superior customer service. Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Experience:

Welcome guests warmly, establish rapport, and ensure a positive guest experience.

Provide knowledgeable recommendations for cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits tailored to guests' preferences.

Create an engaging and memorable atmosphere by offering friendly and professional service.

2. Drink Preparation and Presentation:

Expertly craft classic cocktails, house specialties, and custom drinks while adhering to recipes and presentation standards.

Demonstrate knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including origin, flavor profiles, pairings, and serving techniques.

Maintain proper pour sizes and control inventory through precise measuring techniques.

3. Product Knowledge:

Stay updated on new cocktail trends, seasonal ingredients, and industry innovations.

Educate guests about unique offerings, such as small-batch spirits, craft beers, or boutique wines.

Assist in updating the cocktail menu or specials with fresh, creative ideas when requested.

4. Operations and Efficiency:

Set up and stock the bar with all necessary supplies, such as garnishes, glassware, and utensils.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to health and safety regulations.

Handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.

5. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with servers, barbacks, and management to ensure seamless service.

Participate in pre-shift meetings and contribute to a positive team environment.

Assist in training new bartenders or barbacks when required.

6. Physical Agility and Safety:

Remain physically agile by standing for extended periods and performing tasks such as lifting heavy kegs or cases of wine.

Safely operate bar equipment and handle glassware to prevent accidents.

Stay attentive to potential safety hazards and follow protocols to ensure guest and team member safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of mixology, beer, wine, and spirits.

Familiarity with various bar tools, techniques (e.g., shaking, stirring, muddling), and glassware.

Technical Skills:

Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong cash handling, POS, and inventory management skills.

Customer Service:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to diffuse difficult situations and resolve guest concerns professionally.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Dexterity and speed in handling multiple drink orders simultaneously.

Experience:

Current MAST and ServSafe food handler's certifications.

Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale or fine dining establishment.

Certification in mixology or bartending (preferred).
