Responsibilities:
· Responsible for preparation of statutory financial statements
· Coordination and managing audit and sharing all required documentation with the auditors to ensure filing the stats before legal deadline
· Responsible to ensure timely closing of the month-end
· Reviews balance sheet reconciliations prepared by different departments and implementing effective controls/processes
· Responsible for the integrity of legal entity’s financial statements in the country
· Reviews and approves monthly payroll calculations and ensuring good internal control environment
· Attends business review meetings and act as a business partner of the local FD/other functions, leads balance sheet review meetings with FP&A
· Remediation and implementation of audit recommendations. Oversees and ensures SOX compliance in the country
· Facilitating implementation of a new ERP system by supporting project teams
· Work with tax, external tax consultant and treasury to ensure compliance with local regulations relating to payroll tax, transfer pricing, VAT, tax submission, new VAT changes
· Accountable for payroll, including audits and reconciling between the payroll report, GL and bank payment
Requirements:
· A recognised Accountancy Qualification, preferably ACA or ACCA.
· Formal training in the use of Excel, Word and presentation software packages.
· Language - fluency in written and spoken English
· Experience of similar role in a medium or large sized business.
· Preparation of statutory and management accounts.
· IT Skillsto lead, process and report developments to achieve key tasks, and to give the business a sound reporting base.
· Ability to shape, lead and influence other seniors/managers.
