IQVIA Data Architect in Warsaw, Poland

Data Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Design solution for big data & data warehouses projects

  • Assess current state of solutions, define future state needs, identify gaps and recommend new technology solutions

  • Provide mentorship to team members and stakeholders on data governance (e.g. data architecture, data quality, data management, metadata management, data analysis, data integration)

  • Closely cooperate with engineers and support them in collecting requirements, meetings with business stakeholders

  • Support data analysis and development process

  • Provide consultation in defining/designing data flows, ETL processes

  • Lead project estimation processes

  • Participate in creating, maintaining and development of reference architecture within an architecture group

  • Conduct solution architecture research, PoCs, feasibility assessments

  • Support the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; leverage best practices.

Needed qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Strong commercial experience in Data Engineering and Data Architecture,

  • Strong experience in one of the following Big Data Platforms: Cloudera, Databricks

  • Expertise in efficiently leveraging the power of distributed big data systems, including but not limited to Hadoop Hive, Spark.

  • Experience in optimizing big data pipelines, ETL solutions

  • Cloud experience (Azure preferable)

  • Strong SQL-based data warehousing experience

  • Experience with applying data warehouse architectures (Kimball/Inmon/Data Vault) or data lakes

  • Hands on experience in one of the programming languages: Scala, Python

  • Experience with scheduling systems (Airflow, Azkaban, etc.)
