Netflix Director, Marketing Partnerships - CEE in Warsaw, Poland

As we move beyond 270 million members and hundreds of partnerships worldwide, we are looking for a talented individual to drive better commercial and creative outcomes for our local and global partnerships in the CEE region.

These partners range from distributors partners such as local PayTV and Telecommunications operators like Canal+, Play, Orange, Vectra to global brands such as Samsung or Google.

When we partner with these companies, we approach business and marketing opportunities together to attract new audiences and create bespoke campaigns leveraging on our partners' key capabilities and sales channels. This Director position is key in helping our partners to maximize the opportunity of working with us.

Our partners are an extension of Netflix’s own marketing efforts and therefore an imperative channel for us to take the Netflix experience to new audiences, and we’re always looking for cutting edge, creative ways to work with partners to market our service and our titles.

The Director Marketing Partnerships CEE will be based in Warsaw, run a team of 2 individuals and be part of the EMEA Marketing Partnerships team. We are looking for a talented marketing professional able to own the full life cycle of partner marketing projects from idea to execution to post-analysis with a passion for technology and content and a strong knowledge of all partners' sales channels (retail, digital, telesales).

The Role

As a key point of contact for marketing & sales projects regarding partnerships, the successful candidate will provide a critical link between business development, content and the broader Marketing & Communication team (including title marketing, social, PR) to achieve business goals in the CEE region. To do so the successful candidate will frequently travel in the region (CEE) and work closely with several stakeholders internally in the country, in EMEA and globally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Nurture existing partnerships with our key distribution partners across CEE (i.e.: Play, Orange, Canal+, Vectra, A1 or Deutsche Telekom Group), creating opportunities to build meaningful and effective marketing campaigns with them as well as leveraging their sales channels through the entire consumer funnel.

  • Explore and launch new Partnerships in the region in close collaboration with the Partnerships cross-functional group (business development, financial planning, product, legal) to generate incremental subscriptions for Netflix. This includes building trust with their C level suite, negotiating marketing commitments and executing Go to Market launches.

  • Manage a team of 2 individuals, working cross-functionally - especially with the Marketing and Content teams based in our Polish office as well as Partnerships functional hub in Amsterdam.

  • Collaborate with the marketing partnerships creative team in London to create campaigns speaking to consumers in unique and unexpected ways and elevate the Netflix brand and titles.

Qualifications - The successful candidate:

  • A leader who understands the value of diverse experiences and backgrounds, leading by example in alignment with our culture (https://jobs.netflix.com/culture) .

  • 15+ years experience in senior consumer marketing roles in the CEE entertainment/content/telco industry (i.e. digital distributor, pay-tv, telecommunication, movie studio, video games, music industry, etc).

  • Existing network within PayTV/Telecommunication is a plus. Strong understanding of business drivers and how to apply them day-to-day to marketing and sales programs to drive impact.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with colleagues in a peer-to-peer relationship to promote innovation through a creative collaboration process.

  • An entrepreneurial and consumer-oriented mindset with great communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously without the support of a large team, working both independently and in close collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge and interest in both business and creative challenges and ability to effectively provide input on creative development from a local market perspective. Expert in Retail/Trade and Digital Marketing. Experienced in budget ownership

  • Have fluency in Polish, English (both verbally and in writing) is required. Another CEE language would be additive.
