Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to support KPS and our government customer in the DC Metro area. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The Enterprise Solution Architect is a critical role responsible for ensuring that the business's planned value is realized at the completion of program delivery for both business and IT execution and satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management, with a focus on identifying customer needs, translating requirements, and guiding the work through the program lifecycle.

The Enterprise Solution Architect at Koniag Government Services plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that the planned value is realized through effective program delivery. With a strong background in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, translating requirements, guiding the work through the program lifecycle, and applying enterprise architecture principles to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Enterprise Solutions Architect will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Apply enterprise architecture guiding principles to solution selection and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value realization.

  • Identify customer needs, prioritize capabilities, features, and functionality, and translate these needs into technical requirements.

  • Guide the work through the program, from conception/pre-planning to transition to support, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs, prioritize capabilities, create the solution vision and roadmap, and define requirements.

  • Model and analyze enterprise business, applications, and technology environments, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and alignment.

  • Facilitate stakeholder work sessions focused on making enterprise-wide decisions that balance and prioritize the competing interests of individual stakeholder groups during program delivery.

  • Develop visualizations of information for decision support, enabling data-driven decision-making processes.

  • Apply enterprise architecture concepts to support various program management activities, including EA strategy, development, and operations, as well as the application of EA frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF).

  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the enterprise architecture and solution delivery processes, fostering continuous improvement.

  • Determine the value of a program and ensure value traceability in alignment with program/mission business objectives.

  • Apply solution architecture principles to enact transformation projects in Agile environments, including developing conceptual, logical, and physical architectures.

  • Demonstrate experience in applying the following capabilities in complex environments: enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems architecture, large-scale transformation projects, program/project management, transition management, operational concept development, alternatives analysis, gap/impact/risk analysis, operational and business analysis, and managing complex projects.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management.

  • Strong technical background and expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, solution design, and systems integration.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business needs, translate requirements, and develop effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate work sessions, and present complex information effectively.

  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, including program/project management, transition management, and operational concept development.

  • Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, and methodologies related to enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and program management.

  • Ability to work in Agile environments and apply solution architecture principles to transformation projects.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and decision support tools and techniques.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience with office equipment (e.g. copiers, postage meters, audio/visual)

  • Knowledge of database management, reporting and data entry procedures

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Office Location and Travel:

  • The place of performance will be Primary place of performance shall be performed at ACF Headquarters, located in Washington, D.C., Rockville, MD.
