SUPERVISOR, SECURITY
The supervisor will effectively oversee the daily management of the site Security Team in order to keep the facility safe, secure, and operational. In the absence of the Security Manager – the supervisor will handle administrative duties and attend meetings as needed. They will facilitate the duties of security officers and ensure security requirements are being met. Additionally, they will work with vendors and internal staff to ensure all security equipment is operational.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor all security systems to include access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and other electronic measures and become familiar with common trouble shooting measures
Develop and maintain positive relations with company stakeholders and external partners
Adapt procedures and practices to maintain an appropriate security posture in a high profile, fast paced industrial environment
Train employees in emergency response measures, develop security procedures, and ensure compliance by security staff
Communicate effectively to a wide audience in a crisis or high stress environment
Maintain security compliance and site access requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate
6+ years of experience in the US military, sworn law enforcement, overseas contracting, or advanced corporate security realm
3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with Department of Homeland Security C-FATS (Chemical Facility Anti-terrorism Standards) and NISPOM (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual)
Industry certifications; CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), APP (Associate Protection Professional)
Public safety and emergency experience (First Aid/CPR training)
Experience with Windows based operating systems
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Experience with video management, access control, incident reporting, visitor management, and other security system software
Basic knowledge and experience with installing and maintaining security systems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Availability to work any schedule needed, to include: nights, weekends and rotating shifts
Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Ability to lift or carry up to forty pounds of equipment or gear unassisted
Ability to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access as directed
Ability to effectively execute duties in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain, etc.
Position is subject to pre-employment enhanced screening, including a background check, psychological test, bi-annual physical fitness test, and a drug and alcohol test
Position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Willingness to travel up to 15% of time in support of SpaceX Security requirements should the need arise
Possess or be eligible for a valid state security officer license
COMPENSATION:
Pay range:
Supervisor: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
