Salary Range - $95K- $130K

The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities

Job Specific Details and Tasks:

  • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux server enviornments when patches fail during BigFix deployments.

  • Develop custom Python and BigFix scripts to optimize the DFC patching process or remediate failed patch deployments.

  • Perform monthly security patching working closely with CISO and Application Development teams to test and pilot system and security patches prior to deploying to production environments.

  • Perform vulnerability mitigation activities using BigFix, Qualys, and Nessus scanning tools.

  • Establish or update the DFC system patching and vulnerability lifecycle procedures and policy documents.

  • Manage patches and updates/upgrades to all DFC hardware and software to eliminate exposure to vulnerabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to create new or update existing policies and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality work.

  • Foster excellent collaboration and working relationships with all tier teams and users/customers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Studies or a related field of study

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a DFC/EOD Clearance.

Standard Interview & Selection Process:

  • If selected, Interview with Hiring Manager and/or Technical Lead

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of Vulnerability/Patch Management experience.

  • Experience with BigFix Patch Management Software.

  • Experience troubleshooting Windows, Linux, and networking environments.

  • Experience troubleshooting failed patch deployments in windows and linux enviorments.

  • Experience researching resolutions to vulnerabilities and hands-on experience with developing custom mitigation techniques.

  • Working knowledge of information systems security standards/practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, patch management, and incident handling).

  • Experience with multi factor authentication and authentication processes and protocols. Authentication services, as well as PKI and token/certificate based authentication, DNS, and AD structure.

  • Demonstrated high level of communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Perform technical threat/risk and vulnerability assessments and manage vulnerabilities throughout their lifecycle.

  • Experience with BigFix, including Asset Discovery, Inventory, Software Distribution, Compliance, Vulnerability Management, and Patch Management.

  • Experience with Azure Cloud Deployments.
