Friendship Village is looking for a Activities Coordinator to plan and implement a wide variety of activities for our independent living residents ranging from games, speakers, movies, concerts, to ballgames, trips (local and long distance) and everything in between. We are looking for an individual who is seeking a rewarding career through helping our seniors improve their quality of life by promoting socialization, expanding personal interests, and making a difference in their lives. As the Activities Coordinator you create the adventure for our residents ensuring they have fun and engaging activities available that they can't wait to attend.

Successful candidates will be extremely creative, an excellent communicator, and enjoy working with older adults. Candidates must be organized, self-motivated and have a drive for excellence.

Applicants are required to pass pre-employment screenings that could include: Criminal background checks, Abuse registry checks, Drug test, Physical, and TB test

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in event / activities planning, preferred
  • Bachelors degree, preferred
  • Prior experience working with seniors

Hours:

  • Part-time time
  • Daytime hours
  • 18-20 hours a week
  • Some evening and weekend hours as required
