Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. This role is based in King of Prussia/Wayne, Pennsylvania area. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company. You will be tasked with the application of accounting policies, procedures, and principles, as well as managing the general ledger, account reconciliations, and account analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting functions and daily operations for the general ledger

• Handle month and year-end close processes

• Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis

• Control revenue, manage cash receipts, and carry out subledger reconciliations

• Prepare the monthly financial reporting package

• Work on improving accounting processes and take up special financial projects

• Execute the preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

• Reconcile GL accounts including cash, fixed assets, accounts receivable, revenue, prepaids, leases, accounts payable, and accrued expenses

• Prepare objectives and key results (“OKR”) incentive schedules periodically

• Collaborate with external auditors and tax accountants

• Review corporate AMEX receipts and ensure appropriate general ledger (GL) coding

• Assist in fixed asset project management

• Analyze internal and external data to improve business performance, and prepare forecasts, plans, and ad-hoc analyses

• Implement technology solutions within the Finance and Accounting function to create efficiencies in transaction processes

• Participate in M& A analysis, due diligence, and integration of acquisitions and establish financial reporting process for newly acquired companies.

Requirements

The ideal Sr. Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the Sr. Accountant role include and are not limited to:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience including public accounting and industry accounting experience

• Thorough understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, and experience with the preparation of financial statements under US GAAP guidelines

• Experience working in multi-unit retail or services business preferred

• Experience improving accounting controls, implementing policy procedures and technology improvements

• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory
