Description
Join UCLA West Valley Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian and play a vital role in providing exceptional medical nutrition therapy to inpatient areas across a variety of specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and reassessment.
Educate patients and provide appropriate referrals for continued care post-discharge.
Perform Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and assess malnutrition.
Collaborate with dietetic technicians, food service staff, nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, meetings, and patient care rounds.
Provide coverage across various units based on department needs, rather than a fixed assignment.

Salary Range: $38.96-$51.39 HourlyQualifications
Required:
Registered Dietitian with 4 years of experience or Registered Dietician with 2 years of experience and a Master's degree.
Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Understanding of food service systems, menu planning, and food safety, to ensure that patients receive appropriate meals during their stay.
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, including interpreting lab results and understanding the patient's current and past medical history.
Preferred:
- Acute care experience
