Position Summary

The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler I will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aspect of Manufacturing. The position will require to lead planning assignment and analysis of data to resolve most cost effective and optimal production schedule that Manufacturing can successfully complete. Individual will drive continuously process improvement to improve key measures such as OTIF, Backorder, Schedule Attainment, & Utilization. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Rigorously adhere to production schedules to ensure execution of manufacturing processes.

Figure out most efficient use of resources to successfully complete production plans.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize lead times.

Use data-driven insights to continuously improve production planning and scheduling processes.

Work diligently in a fast-paced environment to meet bold production targets.

Assists with timely and accurate planning of material requirements to support MPS (Master Production Schedule).

Provide input to management to reschedule in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.

Be able to identify goals, review and update Supervisor throughout the year and complete the PMD.

Attend daily management stand -up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on planning and production issues impacting replenishment to management.

Analyze root causes of stock outs and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.

Demonstrated knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO Regulations and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing.

Proactively works with the purchasing department to identify shortages and schedule accordingly to reduce the number of shortages that impact operations.

Key areas also include capacity requirements evaluation, constant monitoring of production readiness and materials availability, continuous improvement of responsible areas and support activities related to PR1 system maintenance to ensure MRP update.

Responsible for understanding and implementing relevant company and department policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma required

2 years of experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling

Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex data sets.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in of plans.

Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Must have knowledge in ERP System (SAP).

Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook), PowerPoint.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Normal office & manufacturing environment

Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required. Position will require sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $25.60–$38.39.
