Vertiv Corporation Strategic Procurement Lead in Westerville, Ohio

Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Lead in Westerville OH who will help set and execute key initiatives supporting overall Procurement strategy and continuous improvementin coordination with Americas Commodity Teams. * Partner and consult with Procurement Team, Operations and SIOP teams, and Quality and their leadership teams to shape Procurement strategy, develop plans, and execute performance improvement initiatives. * Lead Procure to Pay initiatives to improve invoice resolution, accuracy, and timing of supplier payments. * Procurement POC for VOS (Vertiv Operating System). * Develop the continuous improvement capabilities within our Americas Procurement Team and lead the continuous improvement per Vertiv Operating standards, processes, and methods. * Develop Lean capabilities of management and employees to create sustainable models to drive daily problem solving and continuous improvement. * Leverage imbedded functional resources for their expertise to help with Procurement process and systems improvements. * Lead and help coach leaders to integrate Procurement operations and functions end to end and drive improvement to reduce costs, increase cash flow, reduce supplier lead times, lengthen payment terms, improve service levels and performance, and pervade standardized process and training amongst our team members. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the Americas Procurement Continuous Improvement and VOS committee in development and revision of standard work process. * Ensure alignment and adherence to the VOS specs and framework. Ensures employees operate within VOS guidelines. * Accountable for the administration and execution of policies and procedures. * Lead Procurement Team in preparation and execution of internal and 3rd party Quality system audits. * Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels. * Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution. * Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence. * Leads/Accountable for facility VOS communications, education, and trainings * Leads site analysis including baseline of operations and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement. * Partner with the regional VOS leader to develop and deploy VOS strategy. Accountable to the rhythm and rigor. * Work with key functional leaders to define/set appropriate target for improvement and measure progress to targets. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 5 plus years' experience * Supply Chain Management and/or Data Analytics Preferred Qualifications: * Six Sigma / Lean certifications are preferred. * Continuous Improvement Experience EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS * Six Sigma / Lean certifications are preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * No Special Physical Requirements ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS * No Specific Environmental Demands - Office and Manufacturing Facilities TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED * Up to 20% travel to Vertiv facilities and/or suppliers.
