ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must train and respond to plant emergency issues within the guidelines of the PEO (Plant Emergency Operations)

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damage parts

  • Perform multi-craft tasks associated with mobile maintenance

  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.

  • Handle preventive maintenance and equipment downtime situations and procedures

  • Identify the root cause of problems and countermeasures to prevent recurrence.

  • Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs in 360.

  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintain.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.

REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Employee must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. The employee will participate in the development and writing of PM’s and work procedures.

A valid driver’s license is required to obtain a Customer Mobile Equipment License.

  • Able to operate a folk lift

  • Able to operate man-lifts

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee will be able to work from elevated areas such as ladders, scaffolds, and platforms.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
