Inframark is currently seeking a Wastewater Operator for our Willows, CA team that is responsible for the operations of a municipal wastewater treatment plant. Salary Ranges

We have opportunities in the following categories, based on experience and the level of certifications issued by the California State Water Resources Board. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefits package with health, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and wellness plan.

  • Wastewater Operator in Training: $20-$30/hr - We will train candidates at this level!

  • Wastewater Operator Grade I Certification: $25-$35/hr

  • Wastewater Operator Grade II Certification: $30-$40/hr

  • Wastewater Operator Grade III Certification: $35-$45/hr

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.

  • Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells, and water/wastewater unit processes, and perform basic laboratory analyses.

  • Perform and document treatment processes and maintenance of treatment facility equipment, including daily flow, electrical, and chemical usage and dosage.

  • Respond to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, and instrumentation, and provide electrical support.

  • Ensure that facilities are clean, neat, and secure.

  • Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience and 1 year or more years of experience in a comparable role or industry.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).

  • An Active Water/Wastewater Operator’s License is preferred but not required (see information above).

  • Other licenses may vary according to specific sites and assignments.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to follow manual and operating instructions.

  • Basic knowledge of water/wastewater facilities.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet usage.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift 50-60 pounds.

  • Load, unload, and move large equipment/tools.
