Citigroup Fraud Risk Officer (Supplier Management Lead) - Hybrid in Wilmington, Delaware

The Fraud Risk Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Requires sound commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the end to end fraud process across Retail Banking, Citi Branded Cards and Citi Retail Services.

  • Primary point of contact for Global Fraud suppliers relating to contract and supplier management tasks

  • Serve as Business Activity Owner (BAO) for Fraud Suppliers in accordance with Citi Third Party Risk Management Policy

  • Partner with fraud stakeholders to understand supplier service/product being contracted and associated requirements

  • Lead new contracts and renewals for managed suppliers within Fraud in partnership with ESC Sourcing

  • Negotiating contract terms, including pricing and SLAs

  • Deliver year over year cost savings

  • Lead supplier risk assessment and supplier management activities for new and existing suppliers in accordance with the Citi’s policies, including:

  • All required risk assessments and resulting mitigating activities – partnering Control and Internal Audit

  • Performance monitoring via SLA tracking and resolution

  • Supplier onsite reviews/audits and resulting mitigating activities

  • Exit plan documentation

  • Continuity of Business documentation

  • Required training for suppliers

  • Supplier issues and escalations

  • Other required ongoing monitoring activities and mitigation

  • Engage with other supplier management functions, such as ESC Sourcing, Product Compliance, Information Security, and the Third Party Utility, to fully understand all requirements and execute on activities

  • Partner with Finance to deliver against operating budgets, process supplier invoices and secure approval for spend tied to contracts. Ensure proper supplier invoice reconciliation processes are in place validating goods and services have been delivered in accordance with contractual terms.

  • Partner with Finance team on cost planning, cost variances, invoice processing, and cost reduction opportunities

  • Ensures appropriate business cases are in place for all projects and that prioritization and timelines are clearly communicated

  • Anticipate, identify solutions and resolve obstacles for complex issues hindering progress on supplier management activities - escalate issues when necessary to Sr. Management across supplier management functions.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within Global Fraud Prevention and supporting supplier management teams. Ensure strong communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers alike on agreement status, etc.

  • Drive efforts to develop and maintain the Fraud Supplier Management Sharepoint site and ensure proper reporting and tracking of agreement details, control deliverables, and supplier metrics

  • Develop and execute Global Supplier multi-year roadmap for strategic supplier activities tied to renewals and projects

  • Lead Supplier Management Global oversight communication with our partners – drive needed communications with key partners in region to ensure business continuity of critical services and development of multi-year roadmap

  • Support development of the Supplier Management engagement model for Global Fraud Prevention to ensure key stakeholders understand team expectations, visibility, and value add of the supplier management team.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Credit Card and/or Retail Banking experience preferred; Risk/Fraud Management Experience; Experience managing card processing conversions

  • Supplier Management or related experience: 5 years

  • Candidate must excel at working in fast paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and changing priorities

  • Demonstrated experience with Third Party Risk Management Policy and Third Party Risk Management Assessment procedures (TP-RAP)

  • Financial Services experience: 10 years, preferred

  • Contract management experience, preferred

  • Supplier and/or Operational Risk Management experience, required

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required

  • Demonstrated project and task management skills required.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills required to ensure expectations are managed appropriately

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred

Focus will be on oversight of critical 3rd party suppliers supporting Global Fraud Prevention. Candidate will operate as Business Activity Owner for several suppliers.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
