We are seeking a skilled and experienced ERP Business Controls and Process Mapping Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of business controls and process mapping for the implementation of our ERP system. This role will focus on ensuring that business processes within ERP systems are mapped, controlled, and documented effectively to meet organizational goals, improve efficiency, and comply with regulatory requirements (eg: Sarbanes Oxley). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP systems (preferably Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics), strong process mapping expertise, and experience managing internal controls within a business environment.
Responsibilities:
This role involves mapping out end-to-end Oracle system processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that Oracle implementation is documented with clear and effective process flows.
Lead the mapping of business processes within ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics), ensuring that workflows are efficient, well-documented, and aligned with internal controls
Work closely with process leads to ensure design and implementation of internal controls across business processes
Work closely with business leaders, process owners, ERP functional teams, and IT teams to Ensure internal controls embedded within the Oracle system are well documented
Update and maintain process flowcharts, documentation, and control matrices for ERP systems, ensuring that process flows are accurate, detailed, and easily understood.
Oversee implementation and maintain the internal control framework, including segregation of duties, audit trails, and approval workflows, ensuring that ERP systems meet the compliance requirements of SOX and other relevant regulations.
Support training team to support business users understanding of the ERP system processes and controls
Support internal and external audit teams by providing necessary documentation related to ERP process flows, controls, and configurations to facilitate auditing and risk management activities.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CISA, CISM, or CRISC are preferred.
Big 4 Experience a plus
ERP system certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, SAP Certified Application Associate) is a plus
Training and understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001)
5+ years of experience in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) with a focus on process mapping, business controls, and compliance.
Strong understanding of internal controls frameworks (SOX, COSO) and how they apply to ERP systems
Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi) and methodologies such as BPMN or other industry-standard process modeling techniques.
In-depth knowledge of ERP modules and how they relate to business functions such as finance, procurement, HR, and supply chain.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Adhoc needs to travel within the US may be required.
