Actalent Lab Technician in Windham, Connecticut
Join Our Team as a Lab Technician!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the world of science? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with SPF chicken embryos, cell cultures, and microbial cultures, contributing to the development of essential antigens and reagents.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with our team to process SPF chicken embryos, cell cultures, and microbial cultures.
Create high-quality antigens and reagents that support critical research and development.
Prepare a variety of buffers, media, and solutions to facilitate laboratory activities.
Maintain accurate internal documentation to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Keep our lab environment clean and organized through housekeeping tasks, waste disposal, and glassware preparation.
What You Bring:
Laboratory work and familiarity with cleanroom environments.
Proficiency in personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile practices.
Hands-on experience with fume hoods and biotechnological procedures, including pipetting and autoclave operation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
1-2 years of relevant experience or training; a combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, manipulate laboratory instruments, and use a microscope.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
